Water and Wastewater treatment process control (NQF Level 3) a specific requirement.

EXPERIENCE:

At least five years related work experience within a water, wastewater treatment or desalination plant.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

operations.
Operating principles of plant equipment such as valves, pumps, and motors.
Methods and techniques of troubleshooting water plant equipment and processes.
Laboratory analysis techniques and health standards for water.
Operational and safety regulations pertaining to water treatment plant operations and vehicle and equipment usage on site.
Knowledge of water chemicals used within the plant and their safe use and application.
Sampling methods and techniques.
Office procedures, methods, and equipment including computers and basic capturing of data in prepared documents and files.
Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in written form; being able to communicate effectively with others directly as well as using two-way radios.
