  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.

  • Most tasks are performed in a team environment with the employee acting as team leader. There is minimal direct supervision as the Assistant Chief Engineer carries this out.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of all types of mechanical equipment such as chillers, boilers, water treatment, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems, power, water and gas supplies.
  • Must have experience in office procedures, ordering materials, record keeping systems, applicable building laws, building construction, blueprint reading, etc.
  • Must possess good computer skills, with knowledge of accounting programs and budgetary analysis.
  • Working knowledge of occupational safety and health, wage and hour issues, and labour relations.

Night Auditor Qualifications

  • A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management is preferred
  • Previous experience as a Night Auditor is essential
  • Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience in Front Desk / Guest Relations / Guest Services focusing on Night Audit role in a luxury hotel environment is required
  • Knowledge of computerized Front Office systems is required with emphasis in Micros-Fidelio based programs, proficiency with MS Office Suite is an asset
  • At least 1 year international experience in a luxury hotel is strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Proven strong leadership skills and the ability to train, motivate and lead a team to achieve high levels of service excellence is required
  • Demonstrated ability to discern appropriate resolutions to ensure guest satisfaction is required
  • Proven ability to balance a variety of conflicting priorities while considering all aspects of the job (i.e. Financial, Operational, Human Resources)
